Our Philosophy
Our environmental policy is an integral part of our corporate philosophy. Of course, environmental certifications can be a good complement, but for us the most important thing is to design and manufacture furniture that you enjoy for a long time . In this way, we make sure to take care of the materials and use them in a way that is both beneficial for you and our planet.
All of our wood products are FSC certified, which ensures environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable use of the world's forests.
The materials
For us, it is important that we only use materials that are of the highest quality. That's why we only use wood from carefully selected forestry. A large part is also slow-growing warp pine from the Nordics, where winter's freezing temperatures slow down the pines' growth, resulting in wood that is unusually strong.
We ensure that the materials used are part of a cycle, so for every tree that is confiscated, a new one is planted. Steel and other metal parts always come from Europe and are of the highest quality.
Our inspiration comes from being part of your home and creating furniture that you will love for years to come. In this way, we also live up to our commitment to create furniture that is sustainable in the true sense of the word.
The factory
Englesson furniture factory is one of Europe's most modern. The facility is 14,000 m² in size and includes the manufacture of wooden furniture, sofas and armchairs as well as beds.
As we handle all manufacturing in our own factory, we ourselves have full control over that it takes place in an empathetic way for both the environment and the people who work here.
WE ensure that waste wood from manufacturing is used for heating the furniture factory and that we use the most modern technology to reduce our global footprint.
In conclusion
If we make a difference in our commitment to sustainability, we can make it by manufacturing products that you enjoy for a long time. The longer you enjoy your sofa or piece of furniture - the fewer people take revenge on the tip. Therefore, we also make sure to assist with spare parts for our products. Should, for example, a pane of Glasss break in connection with a move, you are welcome to contact us to order a new one. Our sofas and armchairs can also be reupholstered, and if you chose to use removable fabric, you can order a new cover directly from our factory.
